BFC-B-03: Cases in Corporate Finance

Course Description

The module deepens key concepts of corporate finance and applies them to practice-oriented decision-making situations. The focus lies on the financial evaluation and management of companies. Topics covered include capital structure policy, investment decisions under uncertainty, business valuation (DCF approaches, multiples), working capital management, and fundamental aspects of mergers and acquisitions. In addition to theoretical foundations, the module emphasizes the structured application of financial concepts in a business context. Students learn to analyze financial decision problems and solve them using quantitative methods. Exercises and case-based examples reinforce understanding and support the transfer of knowledge to real-world situations.
