There will be no toilets available in Branch Library 5 for the entire duration of the construction work. From Monday to Friday, the toilet in the vestibule between Kranen 1 and 3 is open. Toilets in the surrounding university buildings are also available (e.g. KR12 Hochzeitshaus or HM2 Branch Library 4). Please note the respective building opening hours. Noise pollution may be particularly significant during demolition work. We therefore reserve the right to operate Branch Library 5 without staff on these days in order to protect our staff. During the construction work, only one Campusprint machine (using virgin fibre paper) will be available. It is located in the open stacks.
As a preparatory step for the toilet refurbishment, the Branch Library 5 copy room had to be completely cleared on 1 April 2026. The book scanner has been moved to the open stacks. Of the two photocopiers (campusprint), one has been taken out of service; the other (which uses virgin fibre paper) is also in the open stacks.
