Dr. Lorenzo Livorsi
Lorenzo studierte Klassische Philologie und Alte Geschichte an der Universit?t von Pisa und an der Scuola Normale Superiore. Anschlie?end folgte er seiner Doktormutter als Promovend an drei britische Universit?ten. Die Promotion erfolgte mit einer Arbeit über Venantius Fortunatus' Epos Das Leben des Heiligen Martin.
Er erhielt danach Forschungsstipendien in Wien und Hamburg, zuletzt im Rahmen des DFG-Forschungszentrums RomanIslam.
Seine Forschungsinteressen umfassen u.a. sp?tlateinische Dichtung, die Rezeption der lateinischen Klassiker in der Sp?tantike, panegyrische Literatur und p?pstliche Epistolographie. Seine Leidenschaft gilt der lateinischen Pal?ographie und der handschriftlichen ?berlieferungsgeschichte.
Seit April 2022 besch?ftigt er sich mit philologischen, literarischen, linguistischen und stilistischen Aspekten der vollst?ndig erhaltenen Konstitutionen.
